Icestar sat boldly atop a hude jagged rock. The cats of StarClan sat below her, their pelts glowing wonderingly in the moonlight. Icestar hissed out slowly and began tapping her paws on the rock, sending a sharp ringing noise throughout the dip in the land. Tap, tap, clap! Tap, tap clap! The call rang throughout the hollow and the cats of StarClan began to tap out the rythum with their paws. Tap, tap, clap! Tap, tap, clap! A small rise, about a fox-length high, had a huge hole in the steep side of it. A curtain of many long throngs of seaweed and cattails hung from the top of the stone tunnel. The cats in the hollow began tapping faster and louder. TAP TAP CLAP! TAP TAP CLAP! All the tapping and clapping ceased with the sound of a water drum booming aisngle note to follow the silence. The curtain twitched and cats leaned forward in their mossy seats. Riverstream emerged from the tunnel, her bright ginger tail waving like a flag. As she advanced through the isle to Icestar, cats craned their necks to look at what she held in her mouth, but none could see. As the beautiful queen reached Icestar, she dropped the object and, even though she never stretched and the rock was several foxlengths high, she picked it up in both paws and handed it to Icestar. Then she turned and, with a flick of her tail, vanished. Icestar raised te box high above her head in both paws and the cats below cheered. She carefully pulled the top off and pulled out a golden tooth. SHe held that up and the cats below howled with mad laughter. She placed it back in the box and moved it aside. She twitched her tail and two burly toms moved forward and stepped right up next to her. She held her paws out and the claws shot out, long and flexible like fingers. The toms did the same. Icestar held both sets of fingers together, but only kept the top two out. She folded the rest back over into the palm of her paw. The two toms acted like they had chopped her fingers away from eachother, and Icestar raised her paws. The cats below squealed with fright as the long, bending claws folded ever slowly back into their sheaths. She bowed her head and stepped off the rock. The rest of the cats broke up into excited groups, talking wonderingly about the ceremony.
Inside the stone tunnel...
Riverstream gazed longingly at the picture of Owlflash hanging on the wall of the cave. He was grinning widely, and his mind was open, making his eyes glow a radiant amber color. Riverstream turned to the six pictures below and wonderingly placed a paw on each one. Silverflash, Diamondwind, Lightningclaw. Sakurapaw, and unamed cat, Thunderkit. Each had a cold expression on, and in the background she could see why. Behind each cat, their was a wasteland. And behind Sakurapaw, a huge wave of red was closing in on her. There were shapes moving within the liquid, and as Sakurapaw blinked coldly, a row of the cats behind her was swallowed up. The rest just looked frightened, seeing as their entire surroundings was red, red, and more red, with the jagged forms of rocks and bodies floating around them. Riverstream gulped as the picture of the unamed kit stopped loosing air bubbles from his mouth and his eyes glazed over, his body hung in a permanent, silent, meeter of death. Riverstream turned back to Sakurapaw and saw that now the she-cat was also floating in the red liquid, her eyes white and glowing. The white Sartosis sybol on her head glowed white as well. The she-cat opened her mouth to show long white fangs, before she yowled and the red liquid shot away very fast. Riverstream turned back to the other pictures and saw their captives being forced along the edge of the brutal, red wave. Riverstream had watched this happen many times. But for the first time, she realised that the red wave was blood.
